Additionally, she will explain who this show is aimed at and what she hopes to achieve by creating a safe and welcoming space for people to discuss their experience with trauma and how to move forward.

Episode 2: Trauma Victim vs. Trauma Survivor

In this episode, we're discussing the roles of a trauma victim and a trauma survivor. We'll talk about how they feel different and what it means to move from one state to another. 

Our guest is Akua Feathers, who has experienced trauma personally, coached people through various types of trauma and is a Traumatology Counselor. 

Episode 3: Taking Charge of Your Life After Trauma

This week's episode You Are Not Your Trauma podcast, we are talking about Taking Charge of Your Life After Trauma. Taking charge of your life means that you are taking the steps necessary to heal from your trauma. 

I'll speak with Guest Tabitha P. Howard who has experienced trauma personally as a child and during her adult life. Tabitha shares her story of dealing with church trauma and dating a narcissist who abused her emotionally. She talks about how her traumatic experience pushed her to a place that she had to make a very critical decision in her life. She also offers advice for someone struggling to overcome trauma in their own lives.

Episode 4: How to Feel Safe Again After Trauma

In this week's episode of You Are Not Your Trauma Podcast, we are discussing How to Feel Safe Again After Trauma with guest Nicole Johnson. She'll share how her traumatic experience impacted many areas of her life and what she did to move forward. Nicole experienced and witnessed trauma during her childhood which impacted her adult relationships. She also shares how she was able to reclaim her life and what lessons she learned from her experience as well as tips on how to feel safe again after trauma.

If you’ve experienced trauma, then you know it can leave you feeling hopeless. Myra shares steps she has personally used to move past hopelessness to fulfilling her purpose and shares how others can do the same. Myra discusses the traumatic experiences she’s gone through and the one she witnessed and how her experiences with  trauma led her to help others as a Trauma and Resilience Coach.

This episode is all about dealing with the emotional effects of trauma. I will be talking with Dr. Nicole Pertillar, who experienced childhood trauma and severe significant losses thereafter. Nicole has gone on to become a Wholeness Coach that advocates for therapists, counselors, coaches, and other professions that consistently pour into others to focus on developing a practice of pouring back into themselves in order to be whole and live life in a way that allows them to show up fully for the lives they desire.
Nicole shares her traumatic experiences and how she uses her experiences to help others.

Trauma doesn't end with the experience itself; it continues to have an effect on your life even after the trauma has ended. It's not uncommon for people who have experienced trauma to feel guilty, ashamed, or even responsible for what happened. But these feelings are not true, and they do not reflect the reality of what happened. On this episode, our guest is Tarsha Calhoun who talks about how trauma is a painful experience that can leave you feeling guilty and ashamed, even when what you experienced was not your fault. She discusses why those feelings are common after trauma and offers some tips for dealing with them.

In today’s episode, our guest, Natasha Davidson, shares her experience of growing up in a family affected by trauma, where drug abuse and suicide were a regular occurrence. She explains how the lack of communication and willingness to discuss these issues led to her feeling silenced and unable to express her thoughts and emotions. Natasha discusses how she eventually found her voice and learned to speak up despite the challenges she faced.
